Ideal single-storey family layout

Horizontal lines, light coloured render and a Colorbond roof create a contemporary first impression of the four bedroom, two bathroom Malibu display home in Burns Beach.

APG Homes marketing manager Matthew Dragun said the home was designed to meet the requirements of families as they grew and as their needs changed.

"The Malibu has met with a great response since we opened the home," Mr Dragun said.

"This is a home where the spaces offer flexibility in terms of their use, while still containing all the features and ticking all the boxes of the complete family home.

"The display has been very popular especially with families with children of all ages."

The home features a media room, activity room and dedicated study nook.

"In particular, the Malibu's large main suite is a major point of difference," Mr Dragun said,

"It features a 38-course ceiling, generous walk-in robe and stylish ensuite and is the perfect adults' retreat away from the children’s activity area at the rear of the home.

''Adding flexibility to the design is the activity room with feature skylight. This room is central to the minor bedrooms and has been designed to cater for anything from a kids play-zone to teen chill-out room or dedicated study."

A porch leads to the timber and glass front door, which opens into the entry, with a shopper's door to the garage on one side and the main suite on the other.

The main suite covers more than 20sqm with an extra-high ceiling,

The 38-course ceiling, walk in robe with custom-fltted drawers, shelves and hanging rails, and solid Caesarstone benchtops in the ensuite (and throughout the home) are all included in the display price.

The ensuite has twin vanity basins, a pivot-door shower and a separate toilet. There is also a separate powder room off the entry hall for guests.

The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is linked to the large alfresco area by two sets of stacking-glass doors.

The doors meet at a corner and when open, the indoor and outdoor living areas are transformed into one big entertaining space.

There is also a separate media room, tucked away at the back of the home and providing a separate space for family to work, play or entertain.

The kitchen has an island bench breakfast bar with a double sink, overhead cupboards, gas hotplates, a wall oven and a triple door pantry.

A sliding door behind the kitchen leads to a roomy computer nook and to the laundry which includes a Robinhood ironing centre.

The three minor bedrooms each have a built-in robe and they share an activity room with a skylight.

The children’s bathroom has a bath, shower and separate toilet

The Malibu will suit lots with a minimum 17m frontage. It has a living area of 239sqm and a total area of 306.32sqm.

This home was an entry in the 2013 HIA Perth Housing Awards in the display homes $340,001 to $400,000 category. For inquiries phone APG Homes on 94415888.
