big interior gives sense of opulence

An imposing front elevation with feature pillars and balcony provide a graceful first impression to the APG Homes two-storey Opus display in Gwelup.

APG Homes marketing manager Matt Dragon said the Opus design was the perfect fusion of functional design and elegance.

“It features a beautifully appointed kitchen that flows seamlessly to the dining, living and outdoor entertaining areas, perfect for guests," he said.

"The Opus features a stunning Georgian inspired elevation and combined with the spacious Interior delivers a genuine feeling of opulence.”

"The Opus will suit mature families. The entertaining areas are at the rear of the home while the luxurious suite is at the front. The three minor bedrooms are configured around the upstairs activity room and computer nook, providing the perfect retreat for parents and children alike."

A generous porch stretches across the front of the home under the balcony, providing a sheltered space for the double front door. This opens to an entry hall which provides a view the entire length of the home to the back wall, although double doors can be closed to separate the living area.

At the front of the home are the main suite and the double garage, which has an access door to the backyard as well as a shopper's entrance.

The main bedroom is generously proportioned with room for an easy chair or two and recesses for cabinetry. The walk-in robe and the ensuite both have extra space and a practical design, with a double vanity, pivot-door shower and separate toilet in the   ensuite.

Past the laundry, a powder room and the staircase is the open-plan living area at the back of the home. This area includes the kitchen, dining, living and alfresco areas. Double sliding doors and big windows provide a link between the indoor and outdoor areas and enable one big area to be created for entertaining.

A clever design for the kitchen sees it divided into two sections, with a rear, semi-enclosed section providing extra storage and bench space.

A stone-topped island bench with double under mount sink provides a handy extra seating area and appliances include a wall oven, 900mm gas hotplates, built in microwave, dishwasher and range hood.

Upstairs is a children's zone with all the privacy and separation that teenage children could require. At the top of the stairs is a computer nook, opposite which is a big sitting room with sliding-door access to the balcony.

Each of the three bedrooms is double-sized with a sliding-door built-in robe.

There is a separate toilet and a bathroom with bath.

The Opus will suit a traditional lot with a 15m frontage. It has a living are of 256sqm and a total area of 345sqm.
