The front elevation flows through the streetscape but, by using a mix of materials and colours on the facade, builders and designers APG Homes have achieved an individual look.
A combination of textured renders in eggplant purple, grey and yellowish orange have been used on the exterior, with the white metal balcony railing, tin roof, limestone and metal fence, and glass panelled door also providing interest.
Through the front entrance, an open-plan living area gives way to the kitchen and dining area towards the rear.
The whole space is tiled and painted light grey with dark grey feature walls and opens through sliding doors to the paved outdoor area and garage at the back of the block.
The kitchen also overlooks a small paved courtyard with simple, low-maintenance plantings to the side of the house and is equipped with an island bench with essastone tops, wood-look laminate cabinets and a large walk-in pantry.
A passage way leads to a laundry with outdoor access, a storage cupboard, and toilet.
The upper floor houses the main suite, including a bedroom with access to a tiled balcony overlooking the street and park, a walk-in robe and an ensuite.
Toward the rear of the home, a small sitting room leads to two secondary bedrooms, both of which have built-in robes with sliding doors, and a bathroom.
"This compact and functional two-storey home represents outstanding value and scored highly in all areas," the judges said.
