Leo Callisto knows this because his company, APG, will offer you a home built in the traditional WA way; that is double brick.
But APG will also build you a framed home in brick veneer. It is easily the most common system used in the UK, Europe and in many parts of our Eastern States.
Mr Callisto said WA buyers had long been addicted to solid brick construction.
But a look round the Chelmsford at Jindalee could change a few more minds.
The home looks and feels just like double brick.
It has an innovative design with four bedrooms upstairs and none on the ground level, a three-car garage and an integrated outdoor area.
Take the brick veneer option and you save $20,000 over the double brick.
The ground floor entry is wide and tiled. A study is off to the left, then a toilet and on the right is a big home theatre.
The kitchen-dining-living area is enormous and the laundry is off the kitchen. The kitchen features an island and all drawers are self-closing.
Outside is a lap pool with wider plunge area next to the alfresco area, which is timber-decked.
A water wall adds to the look and the outdoor kitchen features a huge wine cabinet.
Upstairs, the big main bedroom has a walk-in robe that is more run-around-in, and the bathroom, with twin sinks, is huge.
A balcony is accessed from the bedroom.
There are three other bedrooms, a second bathroom and toilet on this level.
To set off the living aspect of the upper level, there is a 5.5m x 4.5m lounge/activity area.
