company forged its quality home builder reputation in two storey homes before demand quickly saw the company expand its credentials into

At the core of our business are two fundamental beliefs - that it simply makes good sense to design homes that are energy efficient, and that all homes should be solar passive in design. Our first commitment has been to ensuring that we have quality staff able to consider these issues as part of the broader design perspective. Our design team is lead by our Head Designer who is ABSA (Association of Building Sustainability Assessors) accredited, and trained in First Rate Assessment (Energy Rating Software). He is supported by a range of committed HIA Green Smart trained professional designers and sales consultants.
In order to further our environmental commitment, we have called in auditors to scrutinise all of our processes, and to make recommendations to assist us to meet our target to become carbon neutral through the offsetting of carbon emissions.
We have established an Environmental Committee that has the role of educating our staff and subcontractors about our goals, and of establishing ways that our whole team can become involved in our efforts. Examples of initiatives we have already undertaken include streamlining our processes in order to minimise and recycle building and office waste, and committing to include water and energy efficient appliances and fittings in all of our homes as standard.
